I’ve written this post a while ago, titled Blog Softwares. From that day i don’t remember a single day that i logged in to my blogger.com blog to publish a new blog post. This is sort of re-writing, and i am doing this with a hope that you too will find a reason to blog from next morning and with ease, if you already didn’t know this! Thank me for the share too ;)
A Blog Desktop Client??
Desktop client is a software application, that you setup and run in your pc. Most of the free blog providers like blogger, wordpress, tumblr or livejournal support desktop publishing and clients. Using them to manage your writing is just one shot!
Why?
When we setup a blog account in sites like blogger, wordpress, tumblr or livejournal we do our initial setup stuffs, manage theme, custom urls, widgets setup etc and once we are done with that the only reason that we will login to the blog providers website (blogger, wordpress, tumblr etc) is to publish a new post. Do you login daily for other reasons than this??
So why the heck we should bother to repeat that long process of publishing a new post when we can do all this in the comfort of our working environment ? In a speed of our own writing, an without distractions – what if internet went off and we lose the post? I don’t see a reason.
My Experience
As i said, since i got a Desktop Blogger Client, i never logged in on the blogger website to publish my new posts.
When you are in a way to become a regular blogger, using the plain old web interface will be only de-motivator for the sake of writing, i remember when i ignored new post just thinking that, i need to login to blogger, write with that limited tool sets, loading time ahh.. no way.
it'll surely be a hassle to manage around all the blogs and posts you have. Have a nice blogger client in your desktop and blog directly from your desktop :)
